Part I begins with the fundamental rhythms and techniques. Each lesson is designed to be useful for both the
novice guitarist and advanced player. The techniques developed in Part One are rasgueado (strumming), golpe
(tapping), pulgar & alzapua (thumb techniques), ligado (left hand slur technique), picado (scale technique),
and arpeggio (broken chords). These techniques are applied to the rhythms of soleares, alegrias, farruca,
tangos, tientos, bulerias, siguiriyas and verdiales. Extended solos are developed in most of these forms.

tremolo and alzapua falsetas; and modern rasgueado techniques. Along the way there will be

granadinas and
malaguenas. Professional level falsetas are presented throughout the book to
illustrate these forms and techniques. In the last chapter, full length solos for alegras and soleares are developed with
